A major advance in visual colorimetry
The Model F is a visual colorimeter designed to optimise the use of Lovibond® glass filters in order to express colour in terms of Lovibond® Red, Yellow, Blue and Neutral.
It is arranged with two adjacent fields of view, seen through the viewing tube, so that the product in the sample field and a white reflective surface in the comparison field are observed side by side, suitably illuminated.
The Lovibond® glasses are introduced into the comparison field by a simple system of sliding racks, allowing the user to compare the colour of light which is either transmitted through, or reflected from, the sample.

Visual Grading of Gardner, FAC or US Naval Stores Rosin Colour Scales
3-field instruments for visual colour grading by direct comparison between the sample and Lovibond® glass colour standards housed in a pair of discs. The advantage of a 3-section field of view is that the sample and two consecutive glasses on the colour scale are viewed simultaneously, making it easier to achieve the optimum colour match. For rapid colour grading within predetermined colour limits, the glass standards can be set to the two limiting colours so that it is easy to check that the sample is within tolerance.

Colour Grading of Petroleum Products
ASTM Color as specified in ASTM D1500 is a single number colour scale for grading petroleum products. The scale is defined by 16 glass standards of specified luminous transmittance and chromaticity, graduated in steps of 0.5 from 0.5 for the lightest colour to 8.0 for the darkest. It is intended for a variety of petroleum products such as lubricating oils, heating
oils, diesel fuel oils, mineral insulating oil and solid petroleum waxes and has been adopted by other standardising bodies as listed below

Low cost systems based on enhanced microspectrometer technology
The Lovibond® LC 100 and SV 100 integrated package provides a unique solution to users looking to measure food, powders, cosmetics and pastes.
The SV 100 holder supports the LC 100 at an ergonomic viewing angle to enable the measurements in Lovibond® optical cells. A secure cap is provided to cover the sample, protecting it from any excessive ambient light, enabling quick yet accurate readings.
The units are provided in a purpose-designed case containing all the accessories required for accurate colour measurement expected of the Lovibond® brand.
The Lovibond® LC 100 enables setting and maintaining colour standards throughout the manufacturing process. It is a lightweight tool that is easy to handle and ready to use. In just over a second, it not only provides a reading of the sample but also a report telling how close the colour is to a measured standard. Together with the Lovibond® SV 100, it is the ideal solution for the colour measurement of food, powder, cosmetics, pastes and pharmaceuticals.
The LC 100 automatically creates conformance reports in either PDF or Excel formats for each stored sample against each standard. These can easily be shared with a PC or directly to a compatible printer (via USB mass storage mode).

On-line real time analysis of colour
Tintometer's latest development, the Lovibond® TA4 On-line Colour Analyser, is a system designed for the ‘real time’ continuous analysis of colour within a production process environment such as the edible oil or petroleum refinery. For example, in edible oils refining, process colour measurements are important both before and after the bleaching and filtration processes and as a final quality check after deodorisation just prior to tank storage.
